72nd Luftwaffe F4F and USMC F4S Phantoms

Well guys if you will have me I'm in with a revell offering in 72nd straight from the box. Hope to have it done as a quikie but can't promise anything.Will post boxart and content in the morning if you accept the entry at this stage of the game!

O.k so I've been through the stash again and guess what?I,ve also found a 72nd Italeri F4s and will be doing that as well as part of this thread the box is long gone but I'll put up a shot of the revell and italeri a bit later on the two builds will run concurrent and will be OOB the 1st being the revell will be in the markings of the Richthoven as can be seen in Pauls thread the second pic (I hope).

I must say that the kits both build up very fast and with very little issues(for wich I am very glad)

Not too much done today made some progress by painting all the whites and greys as these are a major pain in the but and also stuck on all the small bits and pieces on the list for tonight is the colouring of the pits and some dther bits an pieces.Will post pics tomorrow!

Got some done today didnt get round to the photography though.Gonna do the S in a naval scheme though.Got the assembly completed colour added to the pits and the 'zausts painted also done with the intakes.Will not promise the pics but if I get round to doing the camera thing Ill post.

O.k So now both in the paint shop discovered some very visable faults on the german one but luckily they arequick fixes should have at least half of the painting done by tonight.

Wellmanaged to at least lay down the 1st coats of paint(wich revealed that I have a bit more sanding to do but luckily not too much of it.)And both phantoms should be finished at the earliest Sunday and at the latest next week and Wednesday.I'mstill wating for my ISP to react on my signal problem but should post another pic within the hour.Thanks for peeking..............

Hi guys some very slow progress but had to leave home due to a family emergency so the build will go on the ackburn for a while will probably only be finished in 2 weeks time.Changed my mind about the Marine bird and decided to rather do the Heather Ferris scheme hope you enjoy.

Took most of the day but the decals on the german Jubilee bird is done took pics from all 4 sides hope you enjoy:

Great work there Shaun :thumbsup2: I built that Richthofen Red Beastie a while back, loved the kit, but got so fed up with the decals I just did the bare minimum and stuck it in my celings corner hidden behind a couple of 48th Spooks LoL!!!

Thanks Bex.In retrospect the decals from mine wasnt such a big deal I just cut them into sections before applying!LOL

Yup this kit tought me that lesson :doh: Makes it a lot easier if you cut decals :lol:
