benskipper Posted December 31, 2010 Posted December 31, 2010 (edited) Hi all, Nipped out at lunch yesterday to have a wonder round town (Boston) and at The Works they have a Turntable thing by Donna Dewberry (I kid you not and yes she's American). It cost £5.99, so I bought it, and I'm glad I did. Normally it cost £20 and I can see why. The turn table can tilt, be held secure and comes with 4 movable clamps, which are now holding my latest project (Tamiya Challenger 1 Mk 3 - Those who know me it's the one I crashed in Germany!). The uses are endless. For me it will be a stable platform for adding PE parts. I imagine it could be used for anything, so go on treat yourself I did. P.S. I don't work for The Works, though a commission may be forthcoming Here's a link as to what it looks like:turntable Edited December 31, 2010 by benskipper

benskipper Posted January 1, 2011 Author Posted January 1, 2011 (edited) Hi All, I've added these images so you get an idea of the size of the platform. The model is a Tamiya Chally 1 1:35 to help you scale it. Edited January 1, 2011 by benskipper
Paul-H Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 Just checked their website and its not listed so it might be an end of line item only available in a few of their shops. must have a look in my local shops, yes shops for some reason they list 3 within 5 miles of where I live. Paul

Seahawk Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Sounds like you all need a trip to Penzance: there were 4 left there on New Year's Eve.
