ChancerUK Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 Another lovely pair. Met aircraft are an often overlooked subject, your work realy does them credit.
canberra kid Posted September 20, 2010 Author Posted September 20, 2010 Another lovely pair. Met aircraft are an often overlooked subject, your work realy does them credit. Thank you ChancerUK, I absolutely agree, a much underestimated and necessary branch of aviation. John
Angels49 Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 That Herk is very, very nice, and a good representation of some very hard working aircraft......They go where others turn away.
Ed Russell Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 So, you DO build things other than Canberras! Nice looking Herc - nice build, I like it. It's good to see the unsung things like weather recce being represented. Incidentally, it's still a long way to Canberra once you get off the boat! Have you done a RAAF one or the 'Last Great Race' one? Not that you need suggestions I guess. I must do a Canberra one day - I rather like the S.C.9.

Hi Ed I will be building an Australian one in 1/48 it's on the production list for 2011 it will be one of the Cartographic survey of Australia Aircraft and a SEA vet. I will probably build one in 1/72 too one with a white top and the big roo roundels that's such a lovely scheme. You've got me with the " Last Great Race" can you enlighten me please? IF you do get the urge to build a Canberra don't fight it you know it'll do you good . John

A friend of mine has built the red Mosquito (which looks gorgeous) and might do the Canberra, so some decals may be forthcoming. http://newspapers.nla.gov.au/ndp/del/article/2894370 http://www.biblioz.com/lp25762327783.html http://nz.vlex.com/vid/flight-brides-be-race-fancy-59173789 Edited September 21, 2010 by Ed Russell
