While I was waiting around for the Wellington to dry, I decided to do the Hasegawa Eggplane I bought recently. A fun little built to occupy just enough of my time to not get bored before the What If, but not so big as to bog me down for weeks. It also got done today.

Paint is Revell Aqua 350 Lufthansa Blue with a few drops of black added to get that deep blue hue to it. Looks rather good I think. Tried the Dutch equivalent of Blu-Tac for masking the canopy to just try something new. Worked pretty OK, but I need to fine tune my method a bit. As a learning moment it was good though. It's not really evident on these pictures but I placed a spare seat from a 1:72 Hawk in the cockpit and that looks just really cool. The frame for the cockpit wasn't painted cause I'm fairly lousy at masking small stuff so I just didn't bother. I was also scared to damage the clear plastic. This looks good enough for me and I'm rather happy with it.

Here is the result

Oh yeah... It only needs a final layer of Gloss Paint to seal in the decals but that's for tomorrow and won't affect the outcome that much.

Cool! I've got all the WWII eggplanes, although I'd like to find another TBF Avenger..I have this wierd idea of converting it to an F4F Wildcat.
