OzH Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 Calling this one done, was almost there when "new evidence" turned up, so some re-work was carried out This is Tamiya's F.3 Meteor, updated to represent EE337 when she was used for aircraft carrier deck landing trials. Dads203 Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 Nice finish OzH, and a nice conversion fella. R's Dan
keefr22 Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 Really nice Oz , that's a cracker! Great finish & weathering & something different from the usual Meteor III! Great build!! Keef
AnonymousER99 Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 That looks awesome Ozh!! Utterly beautiful. Well done man. Mike
kitnut617 Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 (edited) Very nice and definitely looks the part -- Only one small comment I would make though, I don't think it would have been NMF, painted silver maybe ??? and it looks like it was EE387 EDIT: D'oh! -- just checked the history listing in Air-Britain' Aeromilitaria (who just happen to have a running article on all the single-seat Meteors), and I find it was both EE337 and EE387 which were used for deck trials. woody37 Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 Looks splendid in that silver, fantastic paint job.
Jazzy Jase Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 That looks gorgeous. I love the way you've blended all the different shades of silver to create a weathered look.
goon Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 I like that a lot. The carrier deck base provides a nice context for it. I've got a soft spot for that kit as it was my first 1/48 build after starting up again, and it was a totally enjoyable kit. Nice to see some do something different with it.
Tango 1 Posted July 19, 2010 Posted July 19, 2010 Beautiful finish Oz! You can be very proud of that one-superb work!
