Here's my resurrected (literally) conversion from Tamiya's excellent Spitfire Vb kit, with a Cutting Edge cockpit, Fusion DB605 nose conversion (and decals), and True Details wheels, with the hubbs replaced by the kit parts to get the correct number of spokes.

Paints are Xtracrylix, weathering Tamiya Smoke, Mig pigments and oils.

Build thread can be seen here.

Well that does look rather cool doesn't it?? I really like the weathering on it and you pulled the RLM04 off quite nicely as well. Yellow can be such a PITA to get on a model can't it? I also quite like the looks with the DB601 on it!! Well done dude!!

Thanks chaps. :) I've really enjoyed making this one, for some reason... and trying out a few techniques new to me

Weird man..........weird............. But good weird :goodjob: . Sticking the DB on the front and that Heinkel wing profile is just to damn freaky. I'm loving it for the workmanship but it is messing with my head Mike!. Tis good for all the wrong reasons, bit like finding out that Liz and Phil the Greek don't like corgis.

Different and very well done.

Jim

Really nice Mike!

I have the same conversion underway now so I was quite pleased to find the build thread a few days ago.

You have wrestled that into really nice submission - if mine is half as good as that I'll be well pleased

Well done that man!

Thanks for sharing

Its ALIVE, it's ALIVE....Oh wait that's been said...OK....its flying...no wait is displayed..........excellent job boss, t'would have been a bit confusing in the air......

Excellent build and finish Boss..... but I dont know...... its sacriledge isnt it ;)

Thanks chaps... yes, and isn't it weird how the color scheme changes the character of the aircraft? I remember seeing an FW190 in British colors, and it looked small & inoffensive compared to the Luftwaffe paintjob.
