Dads203 Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 Nice, hopefully a GR 3 to follow as well ?
jenko Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 Blimey................ you wait years for a decent Jaguar.............. the 2 come at once !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SaintsPhil Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 Wow that's a massive surprise! A nice one mind!! I was just wondering today if the italeri one was actually coming...
chadders Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 (edited) Whats with the seat? French only option? Edited September 13, 2012 by chadders
SaintsPhil Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 The CAD shows an A version, hence the seat, but not much work for them to do a GR as well
Tim T Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 Has this come from Mr Song, ex Trumpeter? If so, then I assume that this may, possibly, be based upon the mythical 1/32 Jaguar? Forgive my cynicism and I do hope this is true. Italeri have been very quiet over the release date for their Jaguar. I really want at least one of these to come to fruition, as it is a major gap that I need to fill!
DaveJL Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 Is there much difference to the GR3? looks great and if their F-35 is anything to go by, Kittyhawk seem to be very quick at releasing their subjects! Dave 1

Dave The main external differences are the nose and RWR fillet on the tail, plus the under wing countermeasure racks on the French version (depending on the era). Internally there's the seat, and the GR had more advanced avionics. Phil Edited September 13, 2012 by SaintsPhil
DaveJL Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 Hmm, so I can't make a GR-3 from the A Dave
dergrunepunkt Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 Are this the same guys behind the new Viggen?
AirfixAndy Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 A very nice 1/48th Jag but the wrong flavour !! Andy
Gerard Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 RAF GR3 also had the overwing AIM-9L pylons. Regards, Gerard
Julien Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 Are this the same guys behind the new Viggen? WHAT!!!! there's a new viggen coming out, please tell me this is true. Julien
pacificmustang Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 Ahhhhhh, so this is what happened to the Trumpeter Jaguar, and I was so hoping it was going to be 1/32 scale. Does this mean Kittyhawk are also going to release a Buccaneer Bruce
RNoAF Aerobatic Team Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 WHAT!!!! there's a new viggen coming out, please tell me this is true. Julien Julien? Didn`t you know?? http://www.tarangus.se/2012/03/30/new-viggen-next-kit/ 1
Lars Befring Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 WHAT!!!! there's a new viggen coming out, please tell me this is true. Julien Yup there is. First in line is JA37 and then hopefully the rest. Its produced by Tarangus but not manufactured by the same people who did the A32/J32. I´ve seen some WIP pics and it looks really good. Its hard to describe just how bad the old Esci is when you see the way more correct form of this edition. Anything else flown in sweden you would like to see? cheers! /Lars
Jennings Heilig Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 I'd love a 1/48 Viggen, but not for the kind of price they'll be asking. I'd love a Lansen, but waaaaaaay to expensive for my blood. Especially with all that needs to be done to it. 2

I know its early days, but you could rob the British bits from the Airfix Jaguar and convert this kit into an RAF machine. Shaun.
