Hello,

here is my new build, the Eduard 1/48 Hellcat.

The Cockpit is ready:

Nice! And I can see that you have repainted the pre-painted PE to the correct colour, as the printed colour of Interior Green bears no relation to reality!

Here we go another masterpiece. Pulling up a seat and watching it unfold.

Watching with much interest as I have two of these in the stash. This one is shaping up superbly and looking forward to seeing how the salt chipping effect turns out! :)

Thank you Sir.

More progress, I've painted the under side:

That looks rather nice Ilan. Not sure what it is but there appears to be something that looks like a finger print on the left side of the forward fuselage near the hoist point.

It looks like those Eduard decals aren't quite opaque enough to cover the dark blue paint underneath, but aside from that i like the overall look of the model so far. The weathering appears to be in all the right places and it isn't overdone.

Thanks for posting!!

Thank you Gentlemen.

David, you are right, but it's bit to late to fix it.... :angrysoapbox.sml::deadhorse:

The model is after oil color wash:

Thank you very much, Gentlemen.

I've added oil stain to the model, and kind of temporary covers to the guns.

Looks much better now Ilan.

Not sure if you want to expend the effort, but those tiny circles on the wing center stub section were the wing locking pin indicators. They were red on top. You could do them by drilling the holes out and inserting a piece of plastic rod painted red. Adds a little bit of colour.

The cleanup job looks good though. Keep on keeping on!!
