Warris Posted September 24, 2011 Author Posted September 24, 2011 This where im up to for tonight After the last Dak I made I wanted to make sure that the windscreen fitted right so after the glue dried I gave it a going over so it laid flush with the fuselage The landing lights didnt come out as i'd hoped but hey ho will make do with them Finally for tonight halfords primer applied ready for the painting to start tomorrow Al
Warris Posted September 25, 2011 Author Posted September 25, 2011 Been busy on it today On with the white I used Halfords appliance white for this Once dry masked ready for the black A coat of furture was next to protect the paint from the mask ready for more primer While I was putting on all the aerials and things the pitot made a break for it and pinged across the room into the unknown so i had to make a new one hopefully will be convincing After all the masking is removed Unfortunately I had a thinner spill somehow on the bottom while painting the grey will sort that in the morning Finally the aerials and pitot tube no doubt i'll be snapping them off before i'm done next job for tomorrow are the decals and weathering hopefully Al
AndyC Posted September 25, 2011 Posted September 25, 2011 Al That is gorgeous. You have got the underside aerials spot on mate - really good. Fantastic invasion markings - I said it would have stripes!!! Andy
