Really love it Bucky and the fact that the hand holds are open, though personally would have liked to have seen the canopy open too ;)

the only other thing is the amount of yellow on the prop tips- i think it might be 4" ?

nit pickin' aside

all i gotta say is...

ps did you use an after market prop cos it looks more like to me than the kit supplied one which seemed a tad slim?

the handholds are a minor and very easy fix,but it is one of the things that is most noticable one the real thing.the prop tips are a "guestimation"i must admit i didnt check before painting them ,and didnt notice after, glad you spotted that!!the prop itself is the kit part with a small strip of plasticard glued to the back then filled and sanded to a better profile ,again all done by eye ,thanks for pointing out what to me wasnt obvious, couldnt see it for looking at it!!

Well done fixing the props Buccy

a big improvement on the kit part

agree about the hand holds- left them shut on my 1/72 trumpy Sea Fury and regretted it

as you say it is noticable in pics of the real thing and that bit of extra effort makes a lot of difference - a nice touch!

First time i have seen one of these built , to my eye the prop blades look a little bit too fat and the undercarrage legs seem to be too short .

Cant say i like trumpeters rendition of riverts either , these make the airframe look as though its covered in holes , all this aside its a nice build and is in no way a major criticism .

i can live with all the flaws on this kit, even the most major flaw which all the beancounters have missed so far, look at the underside shot around the tail to see if you can spot the mistake!!

Looks like one for the crash net, then.

Love it, great weathering as well.

Hummmmm. i see what you mean , what is it ? looks like some kind of hinge thingy ?? :undecided:

its actually that the cut out angle in the elevators for the rudders do not allow the rudder full deflection ,i.e if this was the full size thing the pilot ,when he kicked in rudder ,would not get the required amount of deflection because the rudder would be fouling on the elevators, the elevators need to be cut to a more appropriate angle ,there seems to be a line of rivets that would follow the natural line of the elevators ,but trumpy only cut it half way up!!. but like lots of things on this model ,i only noticed it after finishing it!!

Hi Buccy

just had a quick look at some pics and drawings there doesn't seem to be much room on the real thing but not sure- i think i see what you mean. The point at which the elevator is cut away may slightly too far back

It doesn't seem as noticable to me in 1/72 , but i asked a similar question about my Trumpy Gannet (but got no response unfortunately) i can't figure out how the rudder was meant to have any effect!?!

Very nice.I'm struggling with the 1/72 version at the moment.Hope mine turns out as nice as yours. :goodjob:

Ah yes i see what you mean , the rudder would have a bit of a problem turning with those gaps , Shouldnt there be an arrester hook as well ? cant see one ? :undecided:
