INFINITY Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 (edited) My first model since restarting the hobby. Taken two years on and off but hopefully I'll be quicker now. Tamiya Kit, Eduard PE, Aeroclub arrester hook, a few scratchbuild items and Xtracrylix paints. I was really proud of the cockpit and wished I had left it open, but anyway...Thanks to everyone on Britmodeller who was kind and offered their advice and references. I appreciate it. Please be gentle. Andy Edited January 12, 2011 by INFINITY
mike romeo Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 No need to be gentle. That looks fab in FAA colours!
perry Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 How cool does that look in that scheme!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mark Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 Gentle? You want me to be gentle? OK, that's nice..... But no, I'm not going to be gentle at all, that's bloody fantastic!! You should be proud of that and it's given me some inspiration to do one too.
Hamden Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 Hi Great finish, unusual colours for a Meteor. I like a lot. All the best Roger
Vulcanicity Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 Super job, lovely finish in that rather fetching scheme.
keith in the uk Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 Very nice that would look good next to my Meteor F8
moaning dolphin Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 A stunning piece of work there, just got to love that WAFU scheme!
Dr.Jellyfingers Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 I too am a fan of that particular scheme, and your model looks great. Si.
INFINITY Posted January 12, 2011 Author Posted January 12, 2011 You've made my day! If you guys think it's ok, that's brilliant. Now I'm inspired to work on my sea hawk. I really appreciate your kind comments - thanks. Regards Andy
Pielstick Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 Wow, it looks really great in that scheme. Well done Sir!
gingerbob Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 Now I'm inspired to work on my sea hawk. Are you gonna do it in RAF markings? Love the Meteor- that was on my "to do" list, and now I think I absolutely must. And I'm intending to turn a Sea hawk into the P.___whatzit (the first proto, all silver)... Good work. bob
kpc7676 Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Concur with all those above.....very nice job indeed. Well done.
