Post all your finished builds in this thread. No more than 4 pictures per entry please (you can put as many as you like in the build thread, so go nuts there).

If people would be so kind as to use this format before posting pics I would be most pleased:

Title - optional, but variant, operator and date if possible (an example might be: C-47 Skytrain, USAAF, Operation Overlord, June 5th 1944)

Kit: (revell, italeri, etc)

Scale: (1/72, 1/48, etc)

Extras used: (if any aftermarket parts/decals or major scratchbuilding is used etc)

Build thread: (place link)

(4 pics)

Ok so I wont force people to use this, but it would be nice if people could do it to create a uniform looking picture gallery (ocd much? :P )

Hi All, Here are my images of the first of the two 1/144 DC-3 s.

DC-3 G-AMRA of Morton Air Services, Gatwick Airport, 1960's

Kit by Minicraft. 1/144th scale

No kit mods. Decals by S&M. Except for crew and cargo door outlines from Leading Edge decals (not used for another scheme).

And now images of my second DC-3 build complete.

DC-3 CF-JIZ of World Wide Airways of Canada. An airline created by Don McVicar, who raced DH Mosquitoes and author of some fascinating aviation books.

Kit by Minicraft and to 1/144 th.

Only mods made were to the engine nacelles to shorten them from being a bit too long. And the props. They were slightly improved by shortening the tips, straightening the edges and rounding them off to make them look more like the Hamilton Standard props they should be. Decals used are by Whiskey Jack. Alclad, Appliance white and some red from somewhere.
