Douglas DC-7C airliner, Japan Air Lines

1/144plastic kit from Roden.

The Roden DC-7c has been reviewed before, see here, and to save going over old ground for this review I will look at the new decals as the plastic and instructions are as the last review.

Japan Air Lines was founded in 1951, with its headquarters in Tokyo, and is the national airline of Japan. Japan Airlines has a large network of both Domestic and international flights.

The box has once again, got a very nice colour picture of the aircraft and a period airline hostess. Yet another cracking bit of box art from Roden!

Japan Air Lines had a fleet of 5 DC-7c airliners, and the one depicted with this kit is JA6301, City of San Francisco.

The new decal sheet is what I have come to expect from Roden, the colours are crisp and the sheet is well printed. The sheet still doesn’t have any window decals for the flight deck, but the cabin windows are present

Once again the decal and panting instructions is a single colour sheet, very clear and easy to follow.

Conclusion

I like this kit, as the plastic is the same as the last review, and as such it has the same issues, but I am very happy to see it with a new set of decals.
