Redboost Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 (edited) Hello, my first this year, built OOB except the rockets. More info should appear in a future issue of MAI. Cheers Libor Edited January 9, 2011 by Redboost
Enzo the Magnificent Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 Wow! If you hadn't said it was 1/72 I would have been convinced that was the Airfix 1/48 kit. That's seriously good!
keith in the uk Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 A wow from me too thats a lovely build and like Enzo says above i thought it was the Airfix 1.48th kit. Top job
Old VG 33 Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 Very nice job. Thank you for sharing. Patrick
Spad Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 Libor that is just beautiful. As ever and as mentioned above, it is hard to believe that is 1/72! Nicely done indeed! cheers Rick
David H Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 Beautiful job, Libor. i only wish i could build as fast as you do. david
raif Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 outstanding! if my Airfix 1/48 Spitfire Mk.22 turns out even half as good as that I will be happy!
Lightningboy2000 Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 Well I am stunned! That to me is the benchmark for 1/72 - superb! So when will we be getting it in the UK then? Need I ask any more or will we have to wait for your review? Is the kit in any way similar to the Admiral Mk.46? Excellent as usual & I'm sure to be adding it to the collection. regards Martin
Ed Russell Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 Well of course you can thank me for that......... http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=53729 Very nice job Libor. Excellent work as you seem to always do! What else would you like me to build to entice a new plastic model?
Redboost Posted January 9, 2011 Author Posted January 9, 2011 Hi, thanks chaps! For Martin, the only common feature with the Admiral kit is that's Spit Mk.22, otherwise completely different kit For Ed Russell: Murphy's law, but good job on both. Now you should start one of these: Seafire Mk.XV, XVII, 46 or 47
Duncan B Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 (edited) Well of course you can thank me for that......... And me Ed! I'm still struggling with the CMR resin one. It should be finished this weekend but now that I see Libor"s......... Libor that looks awesome, I'm seriously wondering if I should wait for the Xtrakit F22 now! One question from me, I was told that the F22 would have had the 3 spoke wheels fitted (that was for a 1950/51 aircraft though) did the earlier ones have 4 spoke wheels? Edited January 9, 2011 by Duncan B
Redboost Posted January 9, 2011 Author Posted January 9, 2011 I think so, at least couple of period pictures show the four spoke weels (including plane I built) on "early" machines.

Yes, 4 spoke wheels for early ones. Yes, buy an Extrakit one just to use up another set of the wonderful CMR decals! Mine are finished - just have to do some pictures. Libor - I sent a friend of mine in Riga a Jays Seafire 47 he is going to do - once he does it the new tool injection one should arrive soon after!
Gary C Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 Nice, quite looking forward to these...and the two seat Hunter.
Redboost Posted January 11, 2011 Author Posted January 11, 2011 (edited) Very nice! How was the Spit to build? Easy with just few little things, but more in the article. Edited January 11, 2011 by Redboost
