LanceR21 Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 (edited) Hi everybody, I was not longer able to look at this half-assembled F-84 in a box. Inspiration came to me a few days ago, so I decided to finish. I started this model long time ago, almost a year. I have to admit that this Academy Thundetjet is one of the best jet's in 1/72 scale, I literally did not need putty for this model, except in some places. This Thunderjet will be in Yugoslavian colors whit "Lift Here" decals : Unfortunately I don't have images of earlier work in progress... After a coat of gray primer, I painted "boxes" of a landing gear and airbrake in Yellow Chromate... I will post new pictures soon... maybe even tomorrow! Sorry for my mistake English. LanceR21 Posted October 18, 2010 Author Posted October 18, 2010 (edited) 'Fala Cherny! HB cu i ja raditi uskoro! Last night I sprayed PRU Blue with a few drops of white. Maybe it looks too dark, but it's not... Cheers, Nenad Edited October 18, 2010 by LanceR21
arnobiz Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 That's a nice plane, and a very original scheme too! I had no idea the Yugoslavian Air Force actually used American fighters after the war.

LanceR21 Posted October 24, 2010 Author Posted October 24, 2010 One bigger picture: I forgot to tell which the paints are... Gray is a mix of Humbrol 64 and 27 and green is Humbrol 117, P.R.U Blue Humbrol 230. This F-84 will be finished for a few days, I hope so. Cheers, Nenad
