This update from Korean resin manufacturer Wolfpack designs allows the modeller to bring their Revell F-15E kit up to full Operation Iraqi Freedom specification. It includes the AN/AAQ-33 Sniper XR targeting pod with adapter rail, pylons for the conformal fuel tanks, 4 X ADU-552 adapters, 4 X LAU-128/A launchers, a collection of blade antennas, GPS antenna, Electronic Countermeasures antenna and an AN/AAQ-13 Lantirn pod.

The set comes in a sturdy cardboard box with full-colour instructions, which detail the installation of all parts, with accompanying pictures of both the resin and the real items, for comparison. This is especially useful for the blade aerials, to allow the modeller to see their position on the real thing.

A separate set of instructions is included for the AN/AAQ-33 Sniper XR targeting pod, detailing construction of the seeker head, which comes with a clear resin part covering the components within.

The parts are well cast in bluegray resin, with sturdy casting blocks which will need removing with a razor saw. Cleanup should be simple due to the way the parts are attached to their blocks, so should pose no problem even to a novice modeller and the instructions are clear and concise, leaving little room for error. No bubbles were evident in the resin, and all parts were crisply cast in my review sample.

A postage stamped sized decal sheet is included with the set, to portray the vents on the pods, some data placards, and black lines around the circumference of the pods.

Conclusion

A useful set from Wolfpack Designs, which will find approval with any modeller wishing to depict and F-15 strike Eagle of the operation Iraqi Freedom era. Presentation is excellent, the parts of good quality, so I therefore have no hesitation in recommending this set to modellers of all skill levels.
