Finally finished this monster after about 6 months - onto the next Vixen now!

WG240 is depicted in the faux-naval colours she wore at the 1953 SBAC show; although I've seen different photos both claiming to be from the same event with differing colour demarcations; so it might not be 100% accurate!

Not the easiest kit to build, but damn god fun! Finished entirely in brush-painted Xtracrylix, with additional bits from the etched Airwaves Sea Vixen set, Aeroclub Vixen Set, and a couple of bits stolen from an Xtrakit Vixen...

With a contemporary prototype, the Hawker 1052 (swept wing Seahawk):

And alongside my ANCIENT Frog Sea Vixen FAW2, built in about 1994:

I've not yet decided whether to go for XP924 in her current scheme, or the Black FAW1 next - but Xtrakits are being butchered as I type (well, almost, hehehehehe!)

Thanks!

I'm not entirely happy with the demarcations on the booms, as I think the EDSG is little too low; but dodgy vacuform + loads of filler + compound curves in all directions + some very narrow pointy sections = masking nightmare. Thank goodness most other Vixens have more sensible demarcations!

I'm really surprised for a so accurate an fine finish, in this beautiful plane. There's a lot of "modelling knowledge" in it. For me, is a source of inspiration! Thank you for share!! :speak_cool: , the photos are superb!

Xtrakit Simitar AND Vixen at the same time????!!!!! And I thought I was a masochist!!! Bet the Sea Prince is the easiest of the bunch! :D What's the kit like, anyway? Have yet to try my hand at a Sea Prince yet...
