OzH Posted March 13, 2009 Posted March 13, 2009 (edited) As my other builds are progressing nicely in the Naval GB, I though it was time to get some work done on my D-Day entry. I'm going to build the Classic Airframes Walrus and complete it in 277 Naval Air Squadron markings with its D-Day stripes as it would have been on the day. Here's the Box: Here's some of what's inside: Here's the extra's, CMK wheels: And Classic airframes additional Decal set that has the D-Day markings: Edited October 4, 2009 by OzH 1
AnonymousDFB1 Posted March 13, 2009 Posted March 13, 2009 Nice one OzH and welcome aboard, I'll add you to the confirmed entry list

Brews Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 I'm going to build the Classic Airframes Walrus and complete it in 277 Naval Air Squadron markings with its D-Day stripes as it would have been on the day. And if there's one a/c that could have been identifiable w/o invasion stripes, then this is it!
timbo33 Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 Looks a nice kit Oz, almost but not completely unlike my SMER version of the same aircraft which has more flash than Gordon.... 1
OzH Posted March 14, 2009 Author Posted March 14, 2009 Looks a nice kit Oz, almost but not completely unlike my SMER version of the same aircraft which has more flash than Gordon.... Yep, got the SMER kit as well, One for the kiddies to build I think!
CPNGROATS Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 OzH: That will be a classic sea plane...I don't think I'd want to run into Jerry in that one however... D-Day Cheers, ggc
OzH Posted March 21, 2009 Author Posted March 21, 2009 Made some progress this last week. Interior just about done, just need some Mike Grant decals on the IP.
perry Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 Hreat work so far Oz, looking forward to seeing her done!
Barneydhc82 Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 This was a bit of a complicated build particularly in the engine/centre section strut system. The one area thar requires a bit of re-working is the landing gear as it is extremely weak. You can see my article at http://www.barneysairforce.com
OzH Posted May 2, 2009 Author Posted May 2, 2009 Made some progress here, fusulage sealed up, udercarrage, tail plane, engine and lower wings all there.
OzH Posted June 6, 2009 Author Posted June 6, 2009 This one is not going to make the deadline! Got so far, managed to get the masks off today. This is the first time I have tried the FAA shadow scheme, good fun, a really subtle affect I think.
AnonymousDFB1 Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 Nice paintwork OzH pity it didn't make it on time.
gruffy Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 Great build! one of the most hard working aircraft of the FAA and RAF!
Screech Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 Huh? How did I miss this little beauty! Nice finish and a stunning looking build! Cheers,
