I very much admire Welsh model kits but one thing I wish denzil would stop doing especially in 1/72 is the all in one piece resin wings, I would much prefer he did it the way of Anigrand and in two sections that way you can put a metal support bars in the wings thus stopping the resin wings from warping, this is from my own experience though

Nice to see another classic airliner in the GB

A great choice Jessica.

I made the corresponding DC-3 a couple of years ago - a sweet kit, but pretty pricey as I recall! :yikes:

Seeing that it's well past midnight GMT, I can open the box and take the starting pictures.

This wee beastie will need quite a bit of sawing and filing to clean it up before I can start the gluing.

Basc construction is complete. How hard can it be when you only have 5 parts to play with?

A little boiling water will sort that port wing out, then it's on to the filling and sanding portion of the build.

Well, it's very basic, so it's difficult to really screw up the assembly. On the other hand that means that you need to be very careful with the painting or else you risk ruining it.

And here I thought my DC-10 build needed filler... Nice job so far!

this could be...ok it will be small...but a case of never mind the quantity, just check out the quality

It's up on its feet now. I had to plunge mould the landing gear doors because the kit doors were too thick to cut apart. It looks much better for that.

Now to get some more primer on it to cover up the mess I left from the sanding.

Looks very nice Jessica, can't wait to see some colour on it!

Cheers
