airdaniel Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 Hi All! As you can saw before I started to fit a soviet line nowadays... (http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=234921520) . When I saw this kit in a box during a Hungarian modellshow I decided at first sight. YES I WANT IT OF COURSE! The kit is published by ICM in 1/144 scale. I think it's a really lovely kit including the box the parts and the materials too. The kit is included many-many (small) parts (for example 16 pcs flap track fairing :-) and a nose landing gear in 13 part...) but fortunately almost never can found any sprue or burrs. The parts are well fitted and made from good qualited plastic. Easy to polish/burnish.. The decals is the only problems but still good enough... Reason of the too thinned and too rigid foil the decals can tear easily.. Finally I have to recommend this almost 50cm (20 inches) long kit for everybody who likes the commercial planes or the beautiful and famous historic gigantic birds... Enjoy! I think it's a compulsory birds and I hope it's not too bad quality here...... 1
sinclair1965 Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 nice build there mate,well done,,,nice to see a Concordski on show................................cheers,, john
Alpha Delta 210 Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 Wow! You have done a beautiful job on the '144. I think that I might have to buy one of those kits.
Viking Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 Gorgeous Daniel, another one of your superb builds. I've got this kit lined up and ready to build, thanks for the tip to take care with the decals, Cheers John
Ossian Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 A -144 in /144 -- very nice build And I love the appropriate aviation map to display it on -- very good touch
general melchett Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 Good job Daniel, I've got two of these waiting in the stash as well as two built up Braz resins. The ICM model seems to be based on the Braz mouldings as everything including most of the parts breakdown is identical...I see that ICM have just released the TU-144D version too.. Melchie
Avgas Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 (edited) Very nice indeed. I've been thinking lately of getting one of these to go with my Concorde. I think it's time to act. Edited August 31, 2012 by Avgass
goon Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 Very nicely done, I also like the use of the chart to display it. Lovely!
dekenba Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 Lovely build, unusual subject - I'd forgotten all about Concordski!
colihamp Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 Very nice. I like your display on the high alt chart.
airdaniel Posted August 31, 2012 Author Posted August 31, 2012 Thank You so much for All! When I saw this beautiful bird at Budapest airport during the Warsaw Pact - era I falling in love with this noisy Lady... The perfect design is beautiful looks like the Concorde too. That's why I think the best thing what can happened in ever with Tu-144 to see both of them in same place and same time... As in Shinsheim Museum in Germany... And thank you for addictional infos about ICM and the Braz resin kit too.. May be I will repeat it in the new cooperational liveries... But now I started to work on a DC-9/20s in SAS colours... But after that I will going to back to my soviet line with a Tu-134 or an An-24 modell... Cheers...
woody37 Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 Wow, great build, really must get one of these to go next to it's lookalike
