general melchett Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 Valiant Super Set (for Airfix) 1:72 AlleyCat Resin Ali has just sent me a box full of goodies for the upcoming Alley Cat Valiant Maxi set resin and PE upgrade set for the Airfix Valiant. I have a vested interest in this one as I did the design work for the tail planes, wing tips and the masters for the Super Sprites, so if they are wrong ..you know who to blame The set is of superb quality and very comprehensive, the resin bubble free as to be expected and very crisp. Included is the intake set, a replacement tail fin with corrected tip profile and all the extra intakes trim tabs and ports, new tailplanes that are thinner and of corrected shape, full set of PE vortex generators and measuring tool to fit 'em, superb replacement undercarriage bays with all the relevant actuators, struts, plumbing etc, new corrected nose gear doors and deepened wheel bay, new main gear doors and the Super Sprites as were fitted to the second prototype and a few early test aircraft. I must admit I enjoyed getting involved with this one and hopefully you'll agree that the efforts been worthwhile. More V-Bomber stuff to come in the future. I have no idea of pricing as yet, but will update as soon as I know. The rather large box, Open the box!!, stuffed full of goodies... This is what you get, High quality vortex generators and the measuring fret that comes with it, The large tailplane set..also includes corrected wing tips, Very comprehensive undercarriage bays which includes everything you need to vastly improve the kits parts., And the Super Sprite RATO packs, these were done from official DH drawings and data and were a lot of fun to do, included are the stabilizer fins and all connection points. Of course each section has its own comprehensive set of detailed instructions aiding fitting and finishing.... Review sample courtesy of

general melchett Posted March 19, 2012 Author Posted March 19, 2012 I've no idea Steve, but with a bit of fettlin I don't see why not!, I've got an old Mach Poo knocking about so I'll have a look..
Jennings Heilig Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 Couldn't be any worse fit than the rest of the Mach Deux parts, now could it?
Albeback52 Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 Couldn't be any worse fit than the rest of the Mach Deux parts, now could it? Amen to that!! Mine didn't even get finished!!! Cant seem to view the pictures for some reason!
David J Ross Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 (edited) Cant seem to view the pictures for some reason! Possibly too many people are looking at them. It is, probably, the basic Photobucket account and the number of picture views is limited. Edited March 22, 2012 by David J Ross
Mike Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 Thanks for that quick review Andy - I've hoovered up the pics into our webspace now, so you shouldn't have any problems accessing them in future
woody37 Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 Having seen these up close and personal (oooo....errrrrr), they look very nice. Just need to build an extension to store a Valiant .....then a Vulcan....then a Victor !!!!
ReccePhreak Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 Those parts look SUPERB!!! Unfortunately, I will have to save up awhile, until I can order them, especially since they cost over twice what I paid for the kit. Larry
