sofiane1718
I hope it's Hasegawa, it would be a great news!
modelldoc
Not sure, Italeri /Esci is cheaper for Revell. modelldoc

Truro Model Builder
I had the sales rep from Revell in the shop last week; he was not sure of the kit's background, but said that the agreements with Hasegawa and Italeri are ongoing. My own thought is that it is Hasegawa, as the old Esci 1/72 V-22 has not -as far as I am aware- even been boxed by Italeri yet. It would be quite a reduction in price, that's for sure. He also said that most of Revell's release dates are likely to slip throughout the autumn and winter, as they are putting a lot of effort into the new Star Wars products. I reckon Airfix may have their Shackleton out first after all.
Nigel Heath
I suspect this will be the Hasegawa kit reboxed - with new decals and a lower price so not such a bad thing.
Thomas V.
Italeri has its own 1/72 Osprey, recently we have seen numerous Italeri toolings being issued by RoG-I would place my bet on Italeri, although Hasegawa would be more than nice.
Truro Model Builder
Revell has their kit at skill level 4, which they define as: 'kits with up to 150 parts for more experienced modellers' i.e. over 100 parts. This would suggest the Hasegawa model to me.
sofiane1718
I sent an email to them, they kindly responded: "many thanks for your mail and the included question. We can tell you, that our item no. 03964 Bell V-22 Osprey is a cooperation with the company of Italeri, this item is the original Italeri-kit # 068, no changes at all." Team Aer Lingus
That's a shame the Italeri kit isn't in the same league as the Hasegawa
jrlx
Now it's clear it'll be an Italeri rebox, I'll have to source a Hasegawa kit somewhere. Nothing against Italeri, as I've got several of their kits in my stash. I just try to buy the best kit of each aircraft. Cheers Jaime
172flogger
That's a shame the Italeri kit isn't in the same league as the Hasegawa Italeri/Testors kit is about twenty years old with raised panel lines. Sprue photos are here: http://www.super-hobby.cz/products/item_name-113364.html video: another kits were Hobby Craft / Kitech - very simple kit with some engraved panel lines photos: http://gregers.fr.yuku.com/topic/9340/Beanys-V22-Osprey#.VdNYopdv57E http://www.ebay.com/itm/Hobby-Craft-V-22-Osprey-Assault-Aircraft-Airplane-Model-Kit-Parts-Sealed-1-72-/271926430732?nma=true&si=HKCl16edOJpxFjpQYNmtX3zRDqU%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557 sold for funny price: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Hobby-Craft-V-22-OSPREY-ASSAULT-AIRCRAFT-1-72-HC1375-Turbo-Helicopter-Plane-Kit-/231622788036?nma=true&si=HKCl16edOJpxFjpQYNmtX3zRDqU%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557 Esci/AMT/Ertl - kit with nice engraved panel lines. But very old and probably based on prototype or mockup. They included cancelled variants like PV-22 and SV-22 with torpedos The Hasegawa is only Osprey kit of 21st century standards Edited August 18, 2015 by 172flogger

Simon Cornes
The strange things is I noticed that Hannants had reprinted their Osprey xtradecal sheet - wonder if they thought it was a Hase rebox to?
Geoff_B
The strange things is I noticed that Hannants had reprinted their Osprey xtradecal sheet - wonder if they thought it was a Hase rebox to? Possibly, plus Hasegawa have been releasing Ospreys in fictional Japanese markings, so may be looking at genuine alternatives for those who get these kits just for a decent V-22. Geoff_B
On a side note the Hasegawa V-22 does have issues as a kit, whilst the better kit in terms of accuracy and quality, their decision to curtail the rear cabin at just the cabin door is a bit pointless for those trying to show it off as a troop transport without a cabin interior !. dazinio
I've got the Hasegawa kit and it's very nice but I am wondering if we will ever get a perfect kit!!
sofiane1718
Hello! I just checked again the revell website Now we have pictures of the model and the boxart: source: http://www.revell.de/en/products/model-building/helicopters/military-helicopters/id/03964.html
upnorth
Would have been nice to see Revell do their own new tool of the beast. It would have also been rather appropriate as the UK based USAF CV-22 unit is slated to be transferred to Germany when RAF Mildenhall closes. Revell also seem to have an inclination for providing full interiors.
Flashman
Well I certainly like the markings in there!
