Caution Wake Turbulence Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 I think Italeri normally announce their new releases at the Nürnberg Spielwarenmesse. Has anyone heard anything yet? Maybe their new 'top secret' 1/32 aircraft project from last years catalogue will put in an appearance. Cheers, Andrew
Truro Model Builder Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 The show starts today, so there should be some news drifting out.
Caerbannog Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 I checked their webpage yesterday and today but could not find anything there. As T7 says - the show started and I guess this afternoon or maybe tomorrow we will know more
Caution Wake Turbulence Posted January 28, 2015 Author Posted January 28, 2015 1/32 Mirage IIIC, apparently: http://data4.primeportal.net/models/thomas_voigt9/misc/images/misc_06_of_30.jpg Andrew
Simon Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 ...and a 1/72 Mk.I Stirling too, in the same photo. 1
Rob P Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 2 days into the show, still no announcement from Italeri?
Caerbannog Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 There is a list on a German webpage which seems to be updated freequently but still nothing form Italeri: http://www.ipmsdeutschland.de/Ausstellungen/Nuernberg2015/Nuernberg_2015.html#table5 "Neue Variante" means a new type (so I guess new parts or at least new decals) "Neue Form" means new tool. "Wiederauflage" means re-release
Dave Fleming Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 There are some Italeri photos on Prime Portal under Miscellaneous http://www.primeportal.net/models/thomas_voigt9/misc/

Which are new mould or reissues I don't yet know, and some are other companies' moulds (the 1/32 Nieuport and Camel are obviously ex-Academy). No doubt this info will emerge. No prices are yet known; Italeri do not announce prices of individual items until about a month before they are released. By the way, how many years is it now that they have had the ATR 42 on their new items list? Edited January 30, 2015 by T7 Models 1
Giorgio N Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 1/72 and 1/48 Phantoms, wonder where they're from. Maybe Esci for the 1/72 kit, unless they are reissuing their old mould. And hope the 1/48 RF-4 is not Italeri's own old mould
Paul Thompson Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 Bit odd, the 1/32nd WWI types, as Academy just reissued them in 100th anniversary versions. I wonder what the provenance of the 1/72nd wwi kits is as well, and hope they're not the old Ertl/Academy/Fuji et al bits of waste plastic from the year dot. Paul.

I think it's almost inevitable they are the old ESCI kits. The SE5a is reasonable, the others are pants
Paul Thompson Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 I think it's almost inevitable they are the old ESCI kits. The SE5a is reasonable, the others are pants Escii, I knew I'd forgotten to add them to the list. I think there were a couple of other companies used the same moulds too, mentioned in an old Windsock when they came out in a 'Red Baron's Flying Circus' set. Pretty awful kits, as if they took the Revell originals and consciously removed all the finer (for the sixties) points. Paul.
BillyB Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 Chances are the AMX is the Kinetic one but I'm not complaining.
rom1 Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 Thanks for the info the 1/35 M4A3E8 might be a Dragon Rebox?
cmatthewbacon Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 So they aren't doing any 1/24 cars at all, then? That's a shame, given some of the moulds they are sitting on... bestest, M. 1
caszerino Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 Is the 1/72 WW2 stuff just ESCI reissues? Liking all the 1/24 trucks at any rate. Time to get myself a Scania 143M.

Esci never did any WW2 aircraft kit apart from the C-47, all the others are likely to be Italeri's own tools or reboxes from Academy. If you're thinking of the figures and accessories, there may be some ex Esci stuff Edited January 30, 2015 by Giorgio N 1
hgbn Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 Think its the vehicles he is meaning and Esci did a lot of those
Giorgio N Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 Think its the vehicles he is meaning and Esci did a lot of those Ok, sorry didn't think of these... I can't see new 1/72 standard vehicles though, only the simplified fast assembly ones. These are sure not of Esci origin
occa Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 A Lisunov Li-2, supposedly on the basis of their C-47 I don't think it is the A-Model kit
Graham Boak Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 Many of the fast assembly AFVs are already out or have been for some time. I don't see anything that is both new and interesting. So far it looks like a light year for my wallet. No doubt this will change.

caszerino Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 (edited) Think its the vehicles he is meaning and Esci did a lot of those No, I meant the planes. I'm just coming back to the hobby after 20-odd years away so I really just had no idea. Was hoping they were actual new releases and not just re-issues. And I thought that list was all new stuff ... I didn't realize it's just a list of what they plan to actually produce, whether it's new or not. Edited January 30, 2015 by caszerino
