Takamota
Tomcat number 4 Hasegawa 1/48 F-14A with Aires cockpit and aftermarket decals. Also added Phoenix, Sparrow and Sidewinder missiles on this one. Paint was Xtracrylix XA1135 for the overall FS36320 and XA1129 for the fin caps which match the decal colours. Build went pretty straight forward with only the usual problem areas in the Hase kit. Namely the front to main fuselage joing and the rear fuselage joins where the stabs meet the fuselage. Anyways, some pictures: Thanks for looking.

Ian
That is simply superb. The F-14 has been - and will probably always be - one of my all-time-favourite military aircraft, and one day I will build one to this level/standard. Great build, sir. sidewinder1
That's a fantastic looking model! Very well done! I notice you have used Xtracrylics. May I ask what you use to thin the paint as I have tried using it in the past with not very successful results! Thanks.

May I ask what you use to thin the paint as I have tried using it in the past with not very successful results! Thanks. I use Tamiya X-20a around 50-50 mix.. Have very little problems with it. A little clogging of the tip now and then but a quick wipe with kitchen towel now and then works a treat.
